About
For us at Lima & Lima, responsibility in architecture transcends technique. It’s about the legacy that remains imprinted on the urban landscape and the unique ability to make a difference in the lives of those who benefit from it.

We take these values very seriously in our daily lives, long before sharing them with our clients.
We primarily travel on foot or by bicycle. We prefer stairs to elevators and moving devices. Our consumption of energy and raw materials is conscious and as sustainable as possible. To ensure the quality we prioritize, our projects are based on the best possible natural ventilation and lighting, humanization, biophilia, among other aspects.
We know these principles aren’t exclusively ours, but after experiencing the transformative nature they advocate, we decided to give relevance to each of them through actions that seek to share, raise awareness, and encourage more people to apply them and thus enjoy healthier, happier days.
We call this set of attitudes #valorlimaelimaarquitetos.

#EXERCITE-SE
Like walking and hiking, running on the road (or on the beach, on a track, in the countryside, or at a club) is among the most accessible and democratic forms of physical activity. All you need is a pair of sneakers and light clothing, and you’re guaranteed an endorphin rush!
It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps you lose weight, reduces stress, and, best of all, provides unique moments of reflection and insight.

#CAMINHE+
Hiking and walking are the most democratic options for leisure, physical activity, stress relief, budget-friendly travel, and self-discovery. The fact is that walking, incorporated into urban lifestyles, offers a series of benefits for physical and mental health, agility in commuting, and discoveries that are rarely possible when traveling by car or even bicycle.
Leave your car at home or work for at least one or two days a week and enjoy the commute on foot. You can also walk to some activities closer to home or work. And over time, you’ll begin to relate to the city you live in a different way. Furthermore, it’s a good preparation for exploring new cities you decide to visit, burning only extra calories.

#VÁ DE BIKE
We’ve always used bicycles for leisure and everyday urban commutes. They’ve been a staple in our offices for decades. There are countless benefits and justifications for using a bicycle for leisure and transportation. You can make a quick stop anywhere to shop or greet a friend. Consider that if you’re driving and have no parking space, this certainly won’t happen.
Try cycling home during rush hour and you’ll notice the considerable savings in time and quality of life. It’s always worth remembering that it’s our responsibility to observe traffic laws, recommendations, and the necessary equipment to ensure everyone’s safety.

#VÁ PELA ESCADA
We live in a time where we spend most of the day sitting, and when we do walk, it’s only a few meters between our homes and our cars, and from there to the elevator at work or the supermarket conveyor belt.
How about avoiding the elevator line and, in addition, exercising your lower limbs and your heart by climbing or descending a few flights of stairs? This habit can also be applied at the supermarket, the mall, the airport…
Come with us! We’ll be delighted to have you join us to further disseminate these values.
